(Reuters) - Health insurer Anthem Inc posted an 8.4% rise in quarterly profit on Wednesday, helped in part by strength in the business that houses its pharmacy benefits management unit.
Net income attributable to shareholders rose to $1.81 billion, or $7.39 per share, in the first quarter ended March 31 from $1.67 billion, or $6.71 per share, a year earlier.
