LONDON (Reuters) - Rolls-Royce RR.L will significantly reduce all non-essential activity at its civil aerospace sites in Britain for one week starting from midnight on March 27, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company said on Friday.
The British engineering company said the move would allow it to improve its processes to sustain the business over a longer period.
During the shutdown, Rolls-Royce will keep sufficient capacity to ensure airlines can operate and would continue to supply engines for military vehicles which are being used in the government’s coronavirus relief programs.
